As a Christmas present, a young man received his brother’s generous gift of the trendiest car. On Christmas Eve, a young man went for a drive in his new car and as he admired it. He stopped near a park.
“Is this your car, Mister?” asked a young boy. The young man nodded with pride. “My brother got me this amazing car for Christmas,” he said. The boy’s eyes grew wide in astonishment” Do you mean your brother got this fantastic car for you, and it didn’t cost you anything ? Oh Boy, How I wish…” the boy hesitated.
The man knew what the little boy was going to wish for. Of course, He would want a brother who got him such a beautiful car like that. But what came from the young boy’s mouth stunned the young man.
“One day, I wish,” the boy continued, “that I could be a brother just like your brother .”
The young man was astounded and impulsively said,” Would you like to take a ride in my new car?”
“Yes, Yes. I’d want it,” the kid enthusiastically responded.
With eyes glowing and a smile spread across his face, he said, “Mister! Would you mind driving to my home?”
The man smiled and gladly obliged as they made their way home together. He thought he knew what the young boy wanted. He wanted to show kids in the neighborhood that he could ride home in a fancy car. But, The man was wrong again.
The boy ran up the steps. The boy took a while, and when he returned, he was carrying his disabled little brother. The young boy pointed at the man’s fancy car, saying to his brother, “There It is, just like I told you. His brother presented it to him for Christmas, and it didn’t cost him a cent. And one day, I’m going to give you something like this. Then you will be able to see for yourself all the beautiful decorations in the Christmas windows I’ve been trying to tell you about.”
The young man helped the little brother climb into the car’s front seat, and the three had a memorable holiday ride. That day the man learned the meaning real meaning behind the saying, “It is more blessed to give than receive”
